He Said What? Response To Thursday Trivia (October 11, 2018)

Trivia Question: I posted this question on my Instagram page and asked my tribe for their reponse.

“Ambitious Leaders...let’s try out a Thursday Trivia.

It’s performance review time and your ‘not so smart’ (or so he is called) supervisor has told you that you’re not doing as good as you KNOW you have. Besides, you have receipts (results) to prove it. “

Your first reaction is:

A. You get heated...tell him ‘Boy Bye. I know I’m good.’

B. Ask for specific areas of concern and ask him when you were observed not meeting the expectation. Ask for clarification about expectations.

C. Thank him for the feedback but let him know you would like a follow up meeting. You then collect your receipts and return to show off your awesomeness.

D. Just let it go and accept what you’re told. Won’t make a difference anyway. Ok, let’s chats.

What do you feel is the best response?

I received lots of great responses and I want to share my recorded answer. Click the video below to watch. What are your thoughts?

Monday Motivator: Faith

Monday Motivator: Whatever you are facing this week, just remember to keep the faith. You may not have the full picture or have all of the details but don't let that keep you from taking steps toward your goals. Have a great week ahead. Side note: Happy birthday to the unforgettable Martin Luther King Jr who had wisdom well beyond his years!

Leadership Tip of The Day: Magnetism

The Law of Magnetism says that we attract who we are. If you are a leader do the people on your team reflect your values, attitude and/or work ethic? Are you attracting people of like mind? Do they possess qualities that you desire or are they not in alignment with your vision or needs? If this is the case then there is a need to reflect inward as the law of Magnetism suggests that "who you attract is not determined by what you want. It's determined by who you are." As well, "if you think your people are negative, then you'd better check your attitude" The same can be said about our personal journey. If we want positive energy, success, abundance and prosperity but instead we are attracting the opposite, we need to evaluate who we are at our core and what signals we ourselves are putting out. If you are not attracting what you want, evaluate who you are as a person and leader and commit to grow your character and leadership.  If the thought of doing this seems overwhelming or you are having a hard time getting to the root of your issues, seek out mentors or professionals that can help you as you aim to improve yourself. Best to you,

Leadership Tip of The Day: Confidence

How confident are you? Do you face new situations with an attitude that no matter what, you will be great? Or do you get a sinking feeling inside that perhaps, you aren't good enough? Confidence takes time to build. When we take the time to get good at what we do, when we appreciate who we are absent of the opinions of others, when we feel prepared for our tasks and challenges...our confidence increases. To be confident in our abilities and self we must first begin with the belief that we are in fact, good enough, worthy enough and capable enough. No matter the challenge or circumstance, confidence is a requirement to be successful at any endeavour. Try to do one thing today that will help to boost your confidence in something that you fear. Have a blessed day!
