WHO IS TECA?
President, Teca Cameron-Tackie
Teca Cameron-Tackie takes great pride in the business of Image Consulting and has been blessed with the opportunity to use her talents to help others to be their absolute best in life. Her love for fashion, marketing, entrepreneurship, coaching and helping others led her to purse this career. Founded in 2006, with the hope of helping women to increase their confidence, the company has since expanded to help men, women and companies who are seeking to have a distinguished image or brand that will help them to achieve their goals.
A graduate of York University, Mrs. Cameron-Tackie holds an Honours Bachelor of Administrative Studies degree concentration, General Management. She is also a graduate of George Brown College where she obtained an Image Consulting Certificate under the instruction of Internationally renowned industry leader, Karen Brunger. She is currently an active member of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI). Mrs. Cameron-Tackie spent the majority of her career (10 years) working in various leadership positions within the public sector. Her post graduate accomplishments include a certificate in Managing Program Delivery from the Canada School of Public Service and a Staff Relations for Team Leaders certificate from Human Resources Development Canada (Service Canada). In her former career Mrs. Cameron-Tackie held leadership positions as a Regulatory Compliance Investigator, Team Leader and Manager in which she developed political acuity and solid skills in business communication, conflict resolution and leadership.
Mrs. Cameron-Tackie is a published author of a multi-author style resource book titled My Style, My Way. It is a guide for every woman seeking to define her personal style. A dynamic, engaging speaker and image industry expert, Mrs. Cameron-Tackie is available for keynote and motivational speeches as well as broadcasting opportunities.
Born in Jamaica and raised in Canada by a single father, Mrs. Cameron Tackie grew up in a diverse and economically challenged community called Jane and Finch in Toronto, Canada. There she was taught to appreciate the beauty in diversity, learned to dream big dreams, work smart and developed her passion for helping others. Some of her guilty pleasures include music, fashion (well, of course), delicious food (especially ice cream and fried chicken). Laughter and humour are essential to her existence and she enjoys socializing with friends, family and fabulous happy people.
