Ask An Expert: Summer Wedding Style

Have you received a wedding invitation or perhaps a few? It can be a wonderful surprise to get an invitation to a friend or family members wedding. This is a great time to celebrate their love and happiness. However, many men and women get really confused about  what they should wear. In some cultures there is a specific dress code for weddings and most people within the culture know what this dress code is. North American weddings tend to be a bit more liberal but there are still rules. Like, hey don’t outshine the bride. Ever heard of that one? Wearing all white to a wedding is generally considered to be a faux pas. So is going to a wedding in too tight, too skimpy clothing. Just a couple of wedding guest don’ts.

This week we will delve into the sometimes confusing world of wedding guest style. What’s good, what’s bad and well…what’s downright ugly. We’ll take a look at wedding style from various cultural perspectives.
