Fierce ‘n’ frugal: I ♥ JOE FRESH with a capital ♥

I am a recovering shopaholic. I’ve been through all of the ups and downs of shopping til I drop. Because it is a costly habit, I am thrilled at retailers and designers that are finally making clothes affordable and who recognize that in order to look good people don’t have to spend a truck load of money. Let’s be real here, as someone who worked in large retail chains I know that there are significant mark ups on many products, that are manufactured overseas for a fraction of the retail cost.

In comes Joe Fresh, a Canadian retail brand receiving creative direction from the founder of Club Monaco- Joseph Mimran. The line is designed to be casual, fashionable and affordable. Joe Fresh clearly understands that style does not have to be sacrificed in exchange for thrift. This brand has turned this recovering shopaholic into a frugalista.

I near went ballistic when I walked into Joe Fresh and saw that the S/S 2010 collection was finally out. Can we say lovely? Rich, vibrant colours, neutrals, dark denim, pretty flats all for bargain-basement prices. I mean where else can you go and get a ginormous sized chic handbag for $9.99?
I copped a hot bikini that I plan on rocking real soon, a few colourful cardigans, a ginormous sized chic handbag and this denim skirt:
Joe Fresh has got me on lock!!
If you want to catch a glimpse of the new collection, check out the lookbook or visit a Joe Fresh store near you. You can also check out the LGFashion Week show. You will get to see what’s coming for Fall 2010. The show is scheduled for Wednesday March 31st 2010.
Go out there and be fresh!
