Fierce ‘n’ frugal
O.k…
let’s make one thing clear, fashion must not break the bank. I simply am not a believer in it. That being said, I do not encourage it. If you have the money to buy a nice designer handbag, buy it. If you don’t…find a good enough look alike.
I love the look of designer items and the value that one gets when you find a good quality investment piece; however, I am not a slave to designer finds. Quite frankly I relish a good bargain. So why do I feature expensive designer items on my blog? Well, for illustrative purposes and to provide examples of how the latest trends can be incorporated into an outfit. Is that the only option? Absolutely not.
Dressing well means knowing how to incorporate the cheap with the couture. It is also knowing when the vintage Chanel or classic black blazer is a great buy and when to pass up par example, trendy fluorescent pumps that will be hot for all but two months.
Being in the business of Image Consulting, I want to provide my clients with solutions they can use everyday. Over the next few weeks I will be featuring discount retail brands and highlighting the newest trends and how you can make them work for your budget. Think Winners (for my Canadian Folk), H&M, Target, Zara, Zappos, Joe Fresh (my absolute fav),E-bay, Forever 21 (for youngin’s). There are so many options out there for people to look their best without ‘going for broke’.
The feature is ‘Fierce ‘n’ Frugal’. Hope you enjoy!
